We all had a wonderful time. We had great clamming, even with a stormy day on Saturday! The house served our family well. Even the dog enjoyed 'his' toy box. The kids played frisbee and even the dog got in on the fun. We hope to use this house again next spring for clamming tides.
Thanks so much!

P.S. We met the owners. They were awesome. Maybe they can join us next time for clamming! |

Thank you for having a beautiful beach house. Everyone had a nice time and we were all happy while we were here. We wished we could of found this place before now. We want to be able to return maybe in October. The beds are awesome! The kitchen was stocked very well. It was nice to have a washer and dryer that we could use. The house was clean, the outdoors were refreshing. The beach path was A+. The neighbors even waved at us! Thank you for sharing your house.

We had a great time, beautiful weather. We enjoyed our morning walks on the beach with Sam our dog. Never so much seafood as we did this past four days. Hopefully we will make it back next spring.

Dear Gabel's,
We knew as soon as we saw the picture on-line of your lovely home that this would be a perfect honeymoon retreat, and we were right! It more than lived up to our expectations and we enjoyed every minute of our 3 night stay. So well equipped, so quiet and private, and so cozy. We spent some time at the beach, did a bit of walking in town and went to 2 of the regional state parks. Even had a visit from a deer one morning. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories your home has given us. We have many pictures to remind us of our 'new beginning' together. Hope we can return for our anniversary next year.

Great time! Sunny all weekend with 50 degree weather. Whole family came at different times and we all left with a great experience and wonderful memories. Beautiful views down at the beach with as little tourism as you could possibly find. Everyone was able to see at least one sunset before they left and we couldn't have had a better time.

It rained and rained, but that was fine by us because it cleared our schedule for long coffees (+ scrabble) at the Long Beach Coffee Roasters and long evenings in front of the fire. We had 2 dinners at the Shelburne Inn which were amazing-ambience, friendliness + food ( we loved the chowder + the French onion soup, and Alaskan on tap….ah….). We browsed for books at the Banana Bookshop + everywhere we went we met the nicest + friendliest people. We have loved our stay here. Thank You (J

Just want to say Thank you for such a lovely stay. You thought of everything and them some! (J I had no idea what to expect, and was very pleasantly surprised. It’s so peaceful here. The walk to the beach is beautiful. We enjoyed hearing the waves crash on the shore. The Christmas tree and lights were an especially nice touch. Thanks for helping us feel right at home. Thank you for a wonderful stay at your lovely home. The peaceful surronundings and the closeness to the beach was a dream. Wonderfully clean and well stocked home. We did however go without water for most of one day (frozen pump). But we still had a great time and know that these things happen. Thank you so much and we will be back.

What a wonderful beach house, tucked in the forest and surrounded by a sea-grass meadow. We enjoyed the hike to the beach, with the forest floor carpeted with spectacular mushrooms. The occasion was our parent’s 71st wedding anniversary, and we thoroughly enjoyed our few days at the Gabel’s! Especially the bluster of a storm that blew through. This is such a well-equipped, comfortable home-away from home. Thank you so much for being such caring hosts.

Jeff & Anita,
This is one of the coolest beach houses we've ever stayed in. The path to the beach is almost as fun as the beach itself, and your house makes one imagine the history of the family's who first built (and then added to) this place. Also, so well equipped. We literally did nhot need a thing. Thanks for allowing us to experience it.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. You have been thoughtful in every way with how you have stocked your place. We felt as if we were home; from the well stocked kitchen, toys for the kids, beach bags, washer and dryer, down to dog toys, bowls and bed for dogs too. You have thought of everything! Thank you for “spoiling” us. I sure felt spoiled!
